　　Currently, original creation of children’s book booms, and great attention has been put upon brand building in the industry. CITIC kids, which is the organization of CITIC Press Group for children’s book publishing, has become one of the most renowned brands in China within a few years’ time. It has also achieved many accomplishments in internationalizing children’s books of China. Mr. Lu Jun, the COO of CITIC Press Group, the founder of CITIC kids receives an interview with our journalist.

　　Lu Jun expresses as follows: CITIC Kids was established, because it is at the first place aimed at broaden children’s vision from more imported excellent books. The whole team grows rapidly in the process of planning and publishing whilst bringing in excellent foreign children’s books to Chinese children at the same time. In 2016, we brought in DADA from France. The series, after putting on the selling shelf, have reached a phenomenal standard in both reputation and sales, filling up the market blankness of industry to some extent.

　　At the beginning of 2018, CITIC Kids cooperated with CITIC Museum of Fine Arts and planned, produced Mo China Elementary Art Book for Children Series, which is an elementary reading material about Chinese arts, one that is produced with world-influential art treasure of nation as the blueprints, including Along the River During Qingming Festival by Zhang Zeduan, Nymph of the Luo River by Gu Kaizhi, Emperor Taisong Receiving Tibetan Envoy by Yan Liben, Court Ladies Preparing Newly Woven Silk by Zhang Xuan, Night Revels of Han Xizai by Gu Hongzhong etc, and one that is no less excellent than DADA from every aspect.

　　Besides, we have also included paragraphs from classical works and folk tales that are influential home and abroad, including General Yue Fei , the Water Margin , the Legend of White Snake , the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl etc, together with representative works by three leading masters in serial picture industry Mo Lang, Pu Xiaohuai, Ren Shuaiying who have already passed away. Prestigious writer and translator Tang Yaming is in charge of compiling and editing, so that Chinese traditional art of serial picture books are presented through picture books, building up a collection of extraordinary Chinese picture books. These two works are not only key projects for the copyright export of CITIC Kids this time, but are also sincere works for Chinese children and adults who are interested in Chinese arts. Arts and beauty are the languages of the world. Chinese arts and arts from other countries are different in techniques, but from the layer of thoughts and perspectives, they are actually connected thoroughly.
